These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, bookings and services provided by Stripe Exterior Cleaning. By accepting a quotation or booking our services, you agree to the terms below.
All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
Quotations are based on the information available at the time, including photographs, measurements and any details provided by the customer. If additional work is identified once work begins, we will discuss this with you before proceeding.
A booking is confirmed once a date has been agreed by both Stripe Exterior Cleaning and the customer.
We will contact you if we need to rearrange your appointment due to weather, safety concerns or unforeseen circumstances.
The customer is responsible for ensuring safe access to the work area.
Where required, an outdoor water supply and electricity supply should be available unless otherwise agreed.
Please ensure vehicles, furniture, plant pots and other items are moved away from the work area before our arrival where possible.
Some services are weather dependent.
Heavy rain, high winds, freezing temperatures or other unsuitable weather conditions may require us to postpone your appointment.
If this happens, we will arrange the next available suitable date.
Every property is different.
While we use professional equipment and proven cleaning methods, the final results depend on factors including:
The age of the surface
Existing damage
Previous maintenance
The type and severity of staining
The condition of the material
Although we aim to achieve the best possible results, complete stain removal cannot always be guaranteed.
Where block paving is cleaned, kiln-dried sand can only be applied once the paving has dried sufficiently.
This may require a return visit on the next suitable dry day.
Stripe Exterior Cleaning cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing damage including, but not limited to:
Loose pointing or mortar
Cracked or damaged paving
Loose slabs or blocks
Damaged tarmac
Existing surface erosion
Failing render
Loose jointing compound
Cleaning may reveal existing defects that were hidden by dirt, moss or algae.
We will always aim to remove as much staining as possible.
However, some stains—including oil stains, rust, paint, lichen and deeply embedded black spot—may not be completely removable.
No guarantee can be given that every stain will be fully removed.
Cleaning removes existing moss, algae and weeds, but natural regrowth will occur over time.
Ongoing maintenance is recommended to keep exterior surfaces looking their best.
Customers should:
Ensure access to the work area
Keep children and pets away from the work area while work is being carried out
Follow any aftercare advice provided
Avoid walking on treated areas where advised until safe to do so
Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For larger projects or jobs requiring materials to be purchased in advance, a 20% non-refundable booking deposit may be required to secure your appointment. This deposit allows us to reserve your booking date and purchase any necessary materials specifically for your project.
The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work.
We accept payment by bank transfer and other agreed payment methods.
Late payments may be subject to additional charges where permitted by law.
If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible.
We reserve the right to charge for repeated late cancellations or missed appointments where significant time or travel has been incurred.
Stripe Exterior Cleaning carries Public Liability Insurance.
Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out.
We cannot be held responsible for issues arising from:
Existing defects
Poor previous repairs
Normal weathering
Natural movement of paving or structures
Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
We may take before-and-after photographs of completed work for quality control, training and marketing purposes.
Photographs will focus on the work carried out and will not include personal information.
If you would prefer your property's photographs not to be used for marketing, please let us know before work begins.
Stripe Exterior Cleaning reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The latest version will always be available on this website.
Following some exterior cleaning services, surfaces may remain damp for a short period. Customers should take extra care until the area has fully dried.
Where block paving has been cleaned, we recommend avoiding unnecessary traffic until fresh kiln-dried sand has been applied. We will advise you when the surface is ready for normal use.
If we have applied a biocidal treatment (where appropriate), the product will continue to work after we leave. Visible improvements may continue over the following days or weeks as organic growth naturally breaks down.
