Exposed aggregate driveway clean, St Helens: finished result

Concrete cleaning for driveways, patios and paths

Concrete driveways, flagged drives, concrete patio slabs and paths cleaned with a rotary surface cleaner and treated to slow moss and algae coming back. Minimum charge £150.

Driveways, patios and paths

Concrete is hard-wearing, which means it can take a thorough clean. A rotary surface cleaner gives an even finish without the stripes a lance leaves. Moss, algae, lichen and grime come off the surface, and a biocide treatment afterwards slows regrowth.

This page covers concrete patios and paths as well as driveways. If you have stone flags rather than concrete, see Indian sandstone or patio cleaning.

Questions

Can you remove the black dots from concrete?

Those are usually lichen. Cleaning removes most of the growth; the marks left behind fade further after the biocide treatment over the following weeks.

Do you clean imprinted concrete?

Yes. Cleaning imprinted concrete can show where the old sealer has worn; we'll point that out before starting.
