Pressure washing and jet washing

Paths, steps, garden walls, driveways and patios cleaned with commercial pressure washing equipment, using the right pressure for each surface. Minimum charge £150.

What we pressure wash

Why it's different from a domestic pressure washer

A garden pressure washer with a lance cleans in stripes and can etch soft paving or blast out joints. We use commercial equipment with a rotary surface cleaner for an even finish on hard paving, lower pressure for softer surfaces, and a biocide treatment where moss and algae are the problem. Block paving is re-sanded once it's dry.

Prices

Minimum charge £150. Most jobs are priced from photos and a satellite measurement. Block paving cleaning with treatment and re-sanding starts at £180.

Best time of year

Spring through early autumn, when surfaces dry quickly and re-sanding can follow soon after. We work through winter on dry days too, and paths and steps that turn slippery in the wet months are worth doing then.

Questions

Will pressure washing damage my paving?

Not when the pressure and method suit the surface. Block paving and concrete take a rotary surface cleaner; resin, tarmac and sandstone need a gentler approach. We check the surface on your photos and again on the day.

Is jet washing the same as pressure washing?

Yes, they're two names for the same thing.

Do I need to be home?

No, as long as we can reach the area and an outside tap.

How long does it stay clean?

Usually one to two years before moss and algae are noticeable again, longer where there's sun and less shade. A biocide treatment after cleaning slows regrowth.
